Born of Zues and Mnemosyne, the Muse of Memory- after their nine nights of love- Nine muses came to the realm to bring forth civilization in writing, learning, music, dance, and performance.

Of the Nine Muses, Terpsichore {Terp-sik-cory} is the Muse of Dance and Chorus. Let me give the floor to Friedrich Nietzsche who said “we should consider everyday day lost in which we have not danced once.” and Dave Barry who said “No one really cares if you can dance or not- just get up there and dance.” Dance- like listening to music bypasses the intellect. Terpsichore graces us with a reminder that life is to be enjoyed and that one need not do it with effort per se. Just enjoy the music and feel it moving through your body.

She is the inspired syncopation of many singing souls- the chorus and she eventually gave birth to the most alluring chorus {which were recorded by Homer in the Odyssey} The Sirens! When you remember to dance you let go tensions- that is important enough. When you relax you come back to life. You rejoin the chorus. You are no longer in a trance of solitude. Remember that bringing Terpsichore in your heart will keep you there…
