“Werewolf Sighting” is the result of years spent inking every October every day for the month. It is taken from my experiences walking through the streetlamp-lit paths of Central Park NY at night when I lived in that storied City as well as the feelings that come up during my recent nightwaks in the peaceful evening darkness. Some are feelings of fear and others are feelings of freedom and an appetite for revelry. It is also born of a reverence I have for older and more human things no doubt brought on by the technology age. There is both a curious longing to know one’s id these days and the love for older art instruments beyond the vicious modern day art tools. Just an artist and the old ink pen and inkwell.

This piece was and methodical layering upon layering of black hatching to give the atmospheric glow of those old looming streetlamps that seem to illuminate the things we generally try to ignore. It is an homage to a classic beast, The Wolf and the Werrewolf. It is a wonderful piece for anyone who loves this timeless legend of nature and the human’s connection to it....
